Acting Consul General John Wilcock met with author Jack Van Ommen an American of Dutch descent whose mother survived the horrors of the Dachau Concentration Camp. During their visit, Mr. Van Ommen spoke about his book, The Mastmakers Daughters, based on his mother’s involvement in the resistance movement in the Netherlands during World War II, her faith, her survival of a Nazi prison camp, and the role of the United States Army in liberating Dachau.
