The Consulate’s authority to take fingerprints is strictly limited to overseas adoption purposes (into the U.S only) or expeditious naturalization for citizens living in the Netherlands. If you need your fingerprints taken for this purpose, please send an e-mail to, to set up an appointment. Note, the Consulate can’t provide you with fingerprint cards. You must bring them to your appointment.

For fingerprint services required for non-Department of State, domestic adoption, or any other purpose, please contact your local police station. In case the police are unable to help, contact either one of the agencies below. When contacting an agency, please state the reason you need your fingerprints taken.
