In celebration of U.S. Black History Month, Vice Consul Kharmika Alston highlighted the immeasurable contribution black Americans have made to U.S. society during a February 4 New Year’s reception hosted by the National Institution for the Dutch Slavery Past and its Legacy (NiNsee). NiNsee strives to shed light on the history of Dutch slavery and its impact on Dutch society and was the driving force behind establishing the Netherlands’ first-ever Black Achievement Month last October.
