Nieuwjaarsduik 2017

Nieuwjaarsduik in Scheveningen 2017

Nieuwjaarsduik is a Dutch New Year’s Day tradition. People gather at the seaside and local lakes to dive into the new year- literally with a polar bear plunge. Some say it’s a symbolic way of casting off the previous year and starting fresh.
This year a group from the US Embassy in The Hague braved with freezing North Sea and celebrated with 10,000 others on the Scheveningen Beach.
