Ambassador Pete Hoekstra, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, and the Dutch State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Mona Keijzer spoke before a group of automotive industry experts, Dutch and American business people, and government officials at the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Netherlands and the State of Michigan on April 25 in Amsterdam.

Both governments formalized their joint objectives to promote and foster sustainable growth, and support innovation by signing the MOU. This Memorandum of Understanding will increase the cooperation in automotive matters such as: sharing policy data; co-hosting bi-lateral and multi-lateral meetings and workshops; and jointly developing programs to address technological needs. The newly expanded cooperation between the governments of Michigan and the Netherlands will enhance economic and commercial interests of both actors in the automotive industry.
