Message for U.S. Citizens – U.S. Consulate General Amsterdam, the Netherlands, Limited Consular Services and Update on Travel to the U.S.

Location: The Netherlands, Nationwide.

Event:  The U.S. Consulate Amsterdam will limit consular services as of March 17th, in accordance with the Dutch Government’s March 15th decree establishing nationwide school and cultural closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  As a result, all scheduled regular appointments are cancelled until further notice.  Emergency consular services for U.S. citizens and emergency visa processing will continue to be available.

If you require an emergency service, please send an email to AmsterdamUSC@state.gov.  In case of an emergency involving the death or hospitalization of a U.S. citizen, please call +31 70 310-2209.  U.S. citizens that may have been exposed to COVID-19 should call their general practitioner or the Dutch Ministry of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) at 0800-1351 for guidance.
