Today, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the United States of America announced that APG, PGGM, Silicon Valley Bank, BlackRock, Atomico, Carlyle Group, Bank of America, WR Hambrecht Ventures, and CVC are among the investors planning to attend the 2019 Global Entrepreneurship Summit set to take place in The Hague on June 3-5, 2019.
GES, the pre-eminent global conference of the last ten years for entrepreneurs addressing the world’s most pressing challenges, will be co-hosted by Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and U.S. Secretary of State Michael R. Pompeo. During the program in The Hague, investment-ready entrepreneurs will showcase their start-ups to funders, founders, experts and policymakers.
GES 2019 will bring together international high-profile investors from the entire capital continuum. APG, one of the largest pension funds in the world, and BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, are among those participating in an investor-specific program at GES, the ‘Finance Forum,’ a key component of the Summit program.
At the Finance Forum, investors will discuss leading issues affecting the investor community, such as access to capital, diversity of teams, balancing fiduciary responsibility with long-term investment strategies, and managing investment risk in volatile environments. The program will prompt new insights about the changing role of finance. Attendance is by invitation only.
