Press Release – Embassy presents two U.S. Election Events
U.S Embassy Hosts Live Presidential Election Coverage
The U.S. Embassy in The Hague will organize live, online coverage of the 2020 U.S. Presidential Election through two events hosted at Nieuwspoort, The Hague, on the evening of November 3, and the morning of November 4. Both events can be viewed through the Embassy’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/USEmbassyNL/
Election Night 2020
This interactive election night event on Tuesday, November 3 (19:00 – 22:00hrs) will be hosted by U.S. politics expert Willem Post. The program will include presentations about the electoral process, background and analysis by other Dutch experts, election trivia, and much more.
U.S. Embassy Live!
The U.S. Embassy Live! election watch party on Wednesday, November 4 (6:00 – 10:00hrs), hosted by Kamran Ullah and Jamila Aanzi, will include hourly updates reporting on the incoming election results, interviews with America-watchers, and live commentary from Dutch policymakers and politicians. U.S. Embassy officials will also offer insight and perspective to the results.
Both events will include livestreamed interviews with the U.S. Ambassador to the Netherlands, Pete Hoekstra, who will be voting from his home state of Michigan this year. Deputy Chief of Mission Marja Verloop will deliver remarks at Nieuwspoort.

Due to the current COVID-restrictions, these events can only be viewed live online. Unfortunately, it is not possible for the public or other media to attend in person.
