The U.S. Embassy in The Hague facilitates a wide range of educational and cultural programs to engage you in dialogue about the United States in the Netherlands, and to encourage you to seek professional, educational, and socially meaningful experiences in the United States.

Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship Program

You are the right candidate for the Benjamin Franklin Transatlantic Fellowship if you would like to participate in an intensive academic fellowship hosted by a U.S. college or university.

Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSI) for Students
- Age group: Between 18 and 25 years old, with at least one semester remaining at university.
- Duration: 5-6 weeks

Are you an undergraduate student between the age of 18 and 25 and are you eager to improve your understanding of the United States and to develop leadership skills? Then the Study of the U.S. Institutes (SUSIs) for Student Leaders is the right program for you.

Women2Women
- Age group: Between 15 and19 years old
- Duration: 10 days

The Women2Women International Leadership Seminar is a 10-day program that takes place each summer in Boston, MA. This program provides you with an educational opportunity to learn, network, and acquire leadership skills that will empower you to make a difference in your community.

Trailblazer Opportunity Scholarship
- Eligible students: 5-VWO/Gymnasium student
- Duration: One academic year (2025-2026)

If you are an entrepreneur between the age of 25 and35, the Young Transatlantic Innovation Leaders Initiative (YTILI) Fellowship Program might be for you! YTILI is a two-way exchange program; the goal is to promote mutual understanding, enhance entrepreneurship and leadership skills, and build lasting partnerships between you and business leaders from the United States.

Fulbright
The Fulbright program provides awards to approximately 8,000 students, scholars, teachers, artists, and professionals each year from the United States and 160 countries. Fulbright is unique in its bi-nationalism and noted for its merit-based selection process and academic prestige. Fulbrighters come from all backgrounds and are selected regardless of their race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, geographic location, socio-economic status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
In the Netherlands, the Fulbright program is administered by Fulbright Commission the Netherlands.
